彼女の反応は担当者とは名ばかりの、単なる事務員にしか思えなかったので、意地悪な質問もいくつか試みた。 途端に交換手と同様に敵意まで感ずるほどの、病的な警戒感をあらわに示したのです。

彼女の論法は明らかに私を挑発している、怒らせようとしているとはっきり感じました。 疑いありませんでした。
